Claymont Auto Repair has been here in Ballwin for a long time, construction started here in 1968. I worked here for many years as a technician under the previous owner and this was without a doubt the most unique shop I had ever worked at. It wasn't groundbreaking because of any unique specialized work being done. What was unique was the way people were treated when they came to us. When people walked in the door and said they needed something done to their car they were treated as if they were a family member. Which was a nice change from what you would experience from nearly every other shop, being treated as a number as soon as you walked through the door. It was done in a way that was genuine and couldn't be faked. That culture was how Dave and Lynda operated their business, and it made this a great place to work. 

 

Fast forward ten years and my wife Haeley and I were in the third year of running a successful business selling tools locally within the automotive, trucking, and heavy equipment industries when Dave mentioned to me that he was looking to retire. I had always loved the idea of owning this shop because of the great memories I had working here but also due to the positive impact I saw that it had on the local community and the automotive industry. It was a big decision to leave a thriving business that we had built from the ground up but after Haeley and I talked about it we knew this was what we wanted to do. 

 

Although we have made some changes and updates primarily on the technology side of things we have and will always keep our values of doing what is right for our clients, treating everyone who walks through our door like family and repairing vehicles with honesty,integrity, and transparency. In doing this we hope to continue to have a positive impact on both our local community and on the automotive industry as a whole.

 

We are very proud to be here and we are honored to be a part of the community here in Ballwin. We look forward to serving our community here for many years to come!
